In a Facebook post made by Vikings Luxury Buffet, SM Mall of Asia, the restaurant group announced that they have taken over the property of Josephine in Tagaytay and will manage it under a new name.
As stated in the post:
“The Vikings Group of Restaurants is set to continue the legacy of Josephine’s in Tagaytay City, as its former location will soon house ROSARIO.”
ROSARIO will excite food enthusiasts and Tagaytay city’s tourists and locals as it journeys to become one of the best homes for Filipino cuisines and traditional Filipino comfort food from different regions in the country.
ROSARIO restaurant shall feature heirloom recipes using fresh ingredients and traditional cooking techniques, evoking happy memories of huge gatherings around the family dinner table.”
This announcement came a few weeks after it was learned thru a number of FB posts of former employees that Josephine closed its doors for good last January 1. Many netizens became nostalgic and reminisced about the delicious and sentimental meals they had in the restaurant. During its peak, Josephine was one of the must-visit food establishments along the ridge. The family-friendly restaurant served popular Filipino cuisine to customers whether it be small to very huge gatherings. It was popular choice also for balikbayans who wanted to enjoy Pinoy comfort food while basking in the cold atmosphere of Tagaytay.
While it’s sad to know that a memorable restaurant has closed its operations for good, we can’t help but grow excited that there’s a new food destination to try soon.
Vikings Luxury Buffet has become a favorite choice for Filipinos, especially during celebrations such as birthdays, anniversaries, and reunions. Since opening their first outlet in Mall of Asia, the restaurant group has successfully branched out in several locations all over the metro with other concepts under the brand namely Niu in SM Aura and The Alley by Vikings. Soon, the brand will grow again with this newest venture:
“The Vikings Group has never stopped in its pursuit of making its mark in the Filipino food industry and the heart of its beloved Filipino patrons. Their dedication to excellence has made them known for unforgettable experiences, service, and flavor. And this trademark will continue to be upheld in all our brands wherever we may serve you.”
