A succulent beef short ribs braised in coffee!
Season the beef short ribs with salt and pepper. In a pot, add the canola and sear the beef until it browns.
Set aside the beef once seared then in he same pot saute the carrots, onion, celery and garlic until the garlic has softened.
Add the flour and cook for 2 mins then add the beef stock, coffee, bayleaf and rosemary.
Boil for 5 mins before placing back the beef ribs. Boil for 10 mins then simmer on low heat for 2-3 hours or until the beef ribs is tender. Add more beef stock if needed.
Serve with Creamy Mashed potatoes
In a pot, boil the potatoes until tender
Strain the potatoes then transfer to a food processor.
In a pan, combine the milk and butter. Heat mixture until it simmers.
Place the milk mixture in the food processor with the boiled potatoes then blend until smooth.
